tile tale
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
Tile Tale is a game where you push tiles into a grid. The amount of tiles you have is limited and once you've used up all your tiles, the game ends.
If you form geometric fields of the same tile type, for example, a 2 by 2 of forest tiles, you score points and gain new tiles.
Complete challenges to unlock new content!
Find all the different tile types. A lot of them have their own special rules!
Create cool worlds, like islands, swamps or mountain ranges.
Construct a special building tiles, like windmills, a town hall or a rocket! Each building has its own special ability. For example, the windmill turns surrounding grasslands into wheat field tiles each turn. Wheat field tiles yield a lot of points, but less new tiles when combined.
Beware of portals. They spawn evil creatures that corrupt your tiles!
Use special powerups to solve seemingly unsolvable situations.

Hi! I'm afraid this app doesn't run on OSX 13.0.1, on Steam or via the app, even after disabling quarantine and the security checks.
hey, are there any plans to notarize the Mac version so it can be run with SIP on?
I'd really love to see tiles in a tree format to help figure out what I haven't unlocked yet. Any chance? Thanks!
can you provide a linux build?
Hi! I don't seem to be able to get the game to run on my M1 mac. It says "the application is damaged and cannot be opened". Any thoughts? Thx!!
Try to search on Google about disabling SIP
Oh my god this is so polished and cute :D
Hello, I have an issue with the mouse cursor in full screen. There is an offset on X axis, between where I put my mouse and the position the game detects it is. It's visible on the exit button in the lower right corner, I have to put my mouse way back on the left to actually see the button behing hovered. And when I move the tiles around I feel the same clunky mouse detection. I am using a wide screen (3440*1440), maybe it's because of that? Game is on version 1.5b, but it's the same since the first version I installed.
It seems ok if the game starts in windowed mode, but the window is fairly small and I can't resize it. If I switch from fullscreen to windowed, I have a big window but the mouse issue is still there.
Cool!!!
super cool
tile interactions are a fun addition to the core puzzle. knowing when portals will spawn would make the corrupted tile death spiral a little less punishing.
Crashes with any newly revealed tile placed on the board, v1.4
oops! should be fixed now in v1.4c
Hello. I played this game with Jungle Forest /Palm Forest tiles build and crashed with this error log. This seems to do with banana spawn manager, so please fix it. Thank you.
############################################################################################ ERROR in action number 1 of Step Event2 for object oBanana:
Variable Index [-1] out of range [5] at gml_Object_oBanana_Step_2 ############################################################################################ gml_Object_oBanana_Step_2 (line -1)
fixed it in v1.4!
reminds me of Triple Town :) I would buy this if there were a Linux version
The mac version won't open because it says it's corrupted :(
The same thing for me, it says “The application Tile Tale can’t be opened.” and then suggests me to move it to the trash because it is damaged. :(
Same also. I am on an M1 Mac.
Not sure the best place to post this, but after unlocking the Autumn Forest tile, I wasn't able to place anything. Even after shuffling, I couldn't put anything down, and the exit button didn't work.
thanks for the report! i think i have found the bug.
where is my code or download link?
you gotta wait until the release of the game
