What is this game?

In Brain School you have to discover a code, which is made up of cards. The cards used are from a standard 52 card deck.

You find the code by asking questions such as

  • "Where is the card with the lowest value?"
  • "What is the sum of all the spades cards?"

Asking questions cost 'clues', which you have a limited amount of.

Once you find the code you can transform the remaining clues into new rules for the next rounds.

The questions will rarely give you a direct answer to one of the cards, instead you will need your logic and deduction skills to figure out what each card is.

The next round will have more cards in the code, so it will be more difficult to find the code. Reach and solve the final round to win!

Features

  • Multiple levels/game modes with different mechanics
  • 5-7 rounds per game
  • ~1 hour per game depending on the size of your brain
  • ~30 different rules to get that modify your run, making each run different
  • A tutorial that holds your hand like a baby and explains the game (you can skip the tutorial if you want)

you know what fuck it im going to make a recreation of this game based off of the description for personal use.

I figure it'd be rather unlikely, but is there perhaps any interest in a mobile port? Specifically Android? It felt like the kind of game I'd really enjoy playing on the go.

Was this game made with Godot?

no, with gamemaker!

I just had a round where I had 3 letter cards but it told me there were 4...

ah do you have a screenshot?

I think it was from this play but unfortunetly I didn't take an after photo.

25 points in 4 should be AAJQ right?  But then how can #2 not be an A if theres only two ==?  I think it ended up being AQQ but I don't remember now.  I hope my math is right.  I assume Joker is not a letter card?

Maybe the letter card was negative and I just messed up and counted wrong?  Without the final photo it's impossible to say.

Joker is also a letter card!

why does it always say savefile version outdated and then return me to the menu when I try to continue a game?

Hey! Thanks for fixing it ♥
