controls are arrow keys, x and z, if you're playing on a keyboard. Have qwertz? Be doomed. One should really be able to customize those essential keys.
Thanks! I just did, but the error persists—but I'm running it with wine (took a bit of a gamble here). I installed d3dx9, d3dx10, d3dx11 with winetricks, and added them as libraries with winecfg, and I'm using wine 5.22. So that might be a bit outside of the realm of the help you can offer, but if someone has got one of your games running on wine, I'd gladly take their configuration.
I love this game (bought on Steam)! I have recommended it to a friend, but they can only play Linux games. Are there any plans to release a Linux version?

wonderful! was a lot harder for me to beat then i expected -- i enjoyed puzzling things out. lots of fun secrets too c:
I'm getting this error:
> ############################################################################################
> FATAL ERROR in Vertex Shader compilation
> ShaderName: sh_replace
> memory:67:22: error: syntax error, unexpected NEW_IDENTIFIER
> ############################################################################################
> --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
> called from - gml_Object_obj_flat_Draw_0 (line 14)
Any clue if something's missing?
You might still need to install DirectX, which is a graphics driver. You can download the necessary driver for free with this link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=35

if i could ask, what engine is this game made on
gamemaker
It says there's an error so im not able to play :(
Did you check the download instructions - should be able to fix your issue!
Where are the instructions? I have the same problem on a Mac. Won't let me open it after download. I don't see an instructions file with it. Thanks
“pocket watch” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.
Does it work if you right-click, then select "Open" instead of double-clicking
Edit: the instructions are on the download page!
Actually it did give me the option to then 'open' after the error message again. Thank you!

the steam version runs on ubuntu without problems. if they (your friend) don't have have a steam account, it should probably run with wine
Thanks! No, no Linux is planned, but most of our games are compatible with Proton on Linux. No guarantees, though!
Thanks!
Quirky and enjoyable RPG! Very well polished and enjoyed every second of it.
This game looks gorgeous. I'd love to know how you did the art, is it like pixel filtering or something?
Looks really cool, and I love your pricing.
Awesome game! Hope there will be a sequel. :)
Where is the save game stored (Windows)? Need to move the game to a different PC, thx!
Thank you! The savefile is in %localappdata%/city

Just finished the game and I loved it! Gonna play it again and try to find everything!
i love the hard lean into pixel filtering
